Transferring your outstanding balances to your MCU Mastercard credit card is simple!
Step 1: Apply
You can apply for a Montana Credit Union Mastercard® credit card online HERE, or visit any of our branch locations to meet with a loan officer.
Already have an MCU Mastercard® credit card? You can skip ahead to Step 2.
Step 2: Talk to a Loan Officer
Our Montana Credit Union loan officers are here to help you transfer balances from other cards to your new credit card. Stop by a branch or give us a call at (406) 727-2210.
*Balance transfers are made available at our discretion.
Step 3: Credit Limit
Be aware of your credit limit—the total amount of your balance transfer must be within your available credit limit, or any other limit we communicate to you.
Step 4: Payments
Continue to make any required minimum payment(s) to your creditors until you have confirmed your balance transfer has been completed. Your available credit will be reduced by the total amount transferred, including any applicable fees.
Once your balance transfer is completed, you can make payments to your MCU credit card through digital banking.
A Lower Rate Can Help You Regain Control
Transferring your balance to a lower-rate credit card can be a helpful step toward paying down debt faster. Learn more about our credit card options and take the next step when you’re ready.
