Security Update: TruStage Cybersecurity Incident

We have received notice from our partner, TruStage, regarding a potential cyberattack on their systems that occurred on July 11, 2026. TruStage is a consumer financial brand and insurance agency that provides life, auto, and home insurance products specifically for credit union members, as well as various protections for loans.

TruStage has taken many of its systems offline while it investigates this incident. While they work through this, you can learn more on their incident response page.

If you need to file a claim for a current TruStage coverage you have, you can start the process here: https://connect.trustage.com/startclaim

If you currently hold or have had insurance coverage through TruStage, please ignore any unsolicited phone calls, emails, or text messages that request payments, banking information, passwords, or any other personal information. Fraudsters may try to take advantage of this situation by impersonating TruStage or other trusted organizations. Please avoid clicking links or providing sensitive information unless you have independently verified the source of the request. Coverages through TruStage include GAP, Debt Protection, Mechanical Repair Coverage, AD&D, and life and auto coverages.

At this time, TruStage has not indicated that member personal information was accessed, acquired, or misused as a result of this incident. Their investigation of this incident is ongoing, and additional information will be provided to us as it becomes available.

Montana Credit Union’s core systems, digital banking, debit cards, credit cards, and member accounts have not been impacted by this incident, but we want to make sure our members have access to the latest information. The issue is limited to TruStage systems and services.
